What is Card Verification?

The Card Verification process offers the merchants the option to initiate Payment orders with Zero amount, so they can verify the cards of their clients without charging them.

This feature can be especially useful for recurring payments, allowing the merchant to verify the card now, and receive payments later.

Which functionalities are supported?

  • Supports viva.com Marketplace schema

  • Supports client-side tokenization (saved cards)

  • Supports recurring payments (allow recurring)

Which functionalities are not supported?

  • Does not currently support digital wallets (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay)

  • Does not support viva.com ISV schema.

  • Does not support the following: pre-authorizations, installments, variable amounts, tips and merchant-side tokenization

Which card schemes are supported for the Card Verification functionality?

Currently, only the following card schemes are supported for the Card Verification functionality: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners Club & Discover.
